Fonts and colours
This magazine uses a range of different fonts but using basic bold fonts making the whole magazine easier to read. The main colour scheme is white and white. The mast isn’t very big but uses the iconic ‘X factor’ logo as the heading which would grab the buyers attention. The X is in red, outlined in black and its backed by a pink square with ‘magazine’ written small underneath in white.
Target audience
The X magazine is a young music magazine aimed at all genders but mainly females as it is also a gossip magazine. The magazine shows gossip and music from the show X factor, it also includes other artist’s music , gossip and fashion . It was launched in October when the show started the live shows.
Pictures    The three X factor contestants are the main pictures and their different types of shots two are mid-shots and one is an extreme close up which shows the magazine with different dynamics. The two mid-shots are of the female artists (Cher llyod and Katie Waissel) and this is important as it can appeal to men aswell as they may fine the girls attractive and the fashion element would attract women.
Cover Lines   The words used are effective as they use words like ‘exclusive’ and ‘drama’ these words grab attention to the reader. The words ‘you’ and ‘your’ will make the reader feel involved in the magazine and want to buy it as it will make them feel included.
